#charcuteriecouple NEXT UP! We stopped by @asidepublichouse to see what their charcuterie board was all about. This was definitely on the more adventurous end - and we loved it!.
.
Three very different meat + cheese options, which were so yummy. Ryan loves bleu cheese, so he was all about this one. Pickles, walnuts and blueberries were also super fun additions. The TA-DA moment for us, though, was the chili fig jam. HOLY MOLY! We actually asked our waitress where it was from and I bought a jar on Amazon. It was incredible. So good with brie!

What we love about the charcuterie 'sitch at A-Side is that they switch it up often. Super fun spot with a great patio, beer list and endless aperol spritzs for me. 🍸

Next up for the #charcuteriecouple series is @axebridgewineco in Minneapolis! We were both first timers at the city winery and it was such a cute spot!

🧀 I would consider the charcuterie board more on the basic end, but that is not necessarily a bad thing! I prefer a more basic board when I'm doing a wine tasting. Cheeses, meats, crackers and nuts are the perfect pairings with wine. This also had dark chocolate, which was fun.
.
🍷 The wine was great! I did a rosé flight and Ryan was digging the dry whites. We'd love to go back again to try more of the wine list.
.
They also had a cheese plate option if you didn't want to try the charcuterie board. This is one we'll likely go back for. Great to have a winery in the city!

Finally got some greenery out for spring... or should I say summer? Loving this weather and time of year!

Traveling to Wisconsin? I've found the perfect family-friendly sports bar to spend your day at. @monksbargrill in Wisconsin Dells has it all! Great location near The Wilderness, super yummy food and drinks & tons of TVs to see any game you'd want.

🍟Food highlights: We shared the deluxe nachos, boneless wings (parm garlic), truffle fries (this was by far everyone's favorite) and cheese curds.
.
🍺Drink highlights: Bloody Mary, mojitos (tropical & regular) and the Old Fashioned were absolute hits. Awesome beer selection too if that's your thing.
.
🍦Dessert highlights: We split the peanut butter chocolate pie, maple bourbon bread pudding (WOW!) and a chocolate malt for good measure.

Monk's has several locations all over Wisconsin! Check them out in Wisconsin Dells (x2), Eau Claire, Middleton, Plover and Sun Prairie.

We kicked off the series this weekend @balancedrockwinery in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Full disclosure: I'm a club member here and LOVE their charcuterie options (+ wine).

Overview: Balanced Rock offers 3 options: a medium Signature Charcuterie Board (feeds 2-4 people), large Signature Charcuterie Board (feeds 4-8 people) or Wisconsin Cheese Plate. They always have a great mix of meats, cheeses and crackers + olives, nuts, veggies and dips. They generally keep the same items but have switched up a couple of things to keep it fresh. ❗️NEW RESTAURANT ALERT❗️Ryan and I were invited to check out the new @centro_twincities location in Highland Park in St. Paul and DAYYYYUM, did we eat well!

🍹Favorite drinks: Mezcal Marg, Paloma, Wahaka Flocka, Barrel Aged Tequila Negroni. You can't go wrong with any of their yummy tequila cocktails. You can even get a lot of these in pitchers!
🌮 Favorite eats: Chips + Queso, Quesadilla, Enchiladas, Centro Crunch (can you say Crunch Wrap?), annnnd TACOS! We ate our weight in Mexican food and still went back for the Tres Leches cake. 🤤

This is a must-stop spot. Their sister restaurant EveryWhen Burger Bar is also attached. So if you aren't feeling tacos, you can get almost any flavor burger you could imagine! We're ready to go back when it's warm and the patio is open! GRAND OPENING: April 28!

WHAT 👏 A 👏 DINNER 👏 We had the pleasure of dining @butcherandboar and it was hands-down one of the best meals we've had in the Twin Cities. Here are the highlights:

🥃 Drinks: Old Fashioned & 24 Karat Milk Punch. I have never had a drink like the Milk Punch in my life! Such a unique and smooth cocktail!
🥩 Dinner: We started with the Grilled Shrimp & the Green Chorizo sausage - these were holy moly good. For entrées, we got the Butchers Cut steak (Manhattan) and the Sea Bass. So many awesome choices if you prefer red meat or seafood. Absolutely coming back for the Beef Long Rib.
🍰 Dessert: We shared the Chocolate Custard. Sweet, cool and chocolatey. Perfect ending to an incredible dinner.

This week: they're opening a whiskey bar with a speakeasy feel + casual bar menu & coming this summer... a new patio & bar! If you live in the #TwinCities or are passing through, I couldn't recommend Butcher & the Boar more.
